Take the train to… The Edinburgh Fringe Festival!
The famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival is the world’s largest arts festival, originally created as an alternative for the ongoing Edinburgh International Festival, the Fringe offers a range of performances from the wacky to the bizarre.
In the month of August, the city becomes an explosion of creative energy from around the globe. You never know what you might find around each corner with street performers, circus acts, music, comedy, exhibitions, cabaret and theatre productions. The Fringe has something for the whole family.
This year the festival will last between 03-27 August 2018. Travelling there by train is quick and easy and is much easier than trying to find a parking space in the jam-packed city during the festival. Hotels, in particular, are usually fully booked in the run-up to the festival so be sure to book as early as possible.
Edinburgh’s Waverley station is a four-and-a-half-hour train journey straight from London Kings Cross and is positioned right in the heart of the city and the festival. So you can make the most of the festival, straight from the train.
