By train: Norwich’s railway station, still known as Norwich Thorpe locally, used to be one of three in the area. Now seeing around 2.5 million passengers a year, the station has retained its traditional Victorian character.

If Shakespeare’s classics are an interest of yours, Norwich Cathedral holds the Shakespeare Festival, showcasing award-winning performances by The Lord Chamberlain’s Men of his best pieces of work. In the stunning surroundings of the Norwich Cathedral Cloisters, the festival is a great day out for all of the family.
