Festive events for the whole family

Every year, events are held all over the UK when families can go and enjoy some festive fun together. We think it’s important to break routine and get away somewhere every once in a while.

What better excuse do you need than spending quality time with family over the Christmas period?

Lapland, Berkshire

The Whitmoor Forest at Ascot displays the treasure that it is Lapland. The Christmas spirit around you is hard to beat with real reindeer next to Santa’s sleigh, the workshop full of toy-making elves and of course, being able to meet Santa Claus himself.

If you plan to take a family trip somewhere this Christmas, make it here. Ascot train station is only 7 minutes away from Lapland. Best hurry and book your tickets before December 24th!

Disney on Ice, London

We know that this event isn’t particularly Christmassy, but it’s great if you have kids that love Disney. They can watch their favourite characters from some of the best films take to the ice and this year, the featured film is Frozen.

Happy kids are the best kind, and what better to way to keep them happy than Disney-fuelled excitement? Hop off the train at Charlton mainline station and it’s only a short bus ride to the doors of the O2 Arena! The show will go on until 30th December.

Eden Project Winter Festival, Cornwall

Get involved in a range of activities in Cornwall this year. The Eden Project Winter Festival will be held until January 2nd and features everything you love about Christmas-time.

Listen to the choir sing, enjoy some tasty Christmas food and watch the light displays between 5pm and 8pm. Before or even after the activities, you can spend some time in the ice rink, which is suitable for all ages and abilities. Get off at any of the following stations to start enjoying the holiday season with your family: St Austell (closest), Luxulyan, Bugle, Par.

We would like to wish you a very merry Christmas and hope that you enjoy spending time with family and friends during the holidays.
