Cromford Mills Easter Weekend
This event is perfect for children! They can take part in the Alice and Wonderland Children’s Workshop for only £3 per child and take part in the White Rabbit Trail to find the hidden Easter eggs. If they come dressed as a character from Alice in Wonderland, they can even enter the free prize draw! You’ll also have the chance to meet lambs and chicks throughout the day.
There’s plenty of fun to be had, so head down on 15th or 16th April! Entry to the event is free, but there are some small charges for selected activities. Please ensure all children are accompanied by an adult. The nearest train station is Cromford.
Music shows
If you’re looking for an alternative way to spend Easter weekend, watching ‘Nothing Here is Perfect’ in Café Oto is a great shout. This Saturday, 15th April, you can watch a film that weaves together improvised performances from a cast of nearly 40 singers and players. It will be played on a loop from noon until 8 pm.
Similarly, you can head to AllSortz Open Mic Night on Sunday 16th April to watch live performances of funk, soul, and house musicians all for free, starting at 7.30pm. You can reach both destinations at any of the London train stations with connections through TfL.
The closest tube stations are Dalston Junction and Shoreditch Overground, respectively.
Yard & Coop Adult Easter Egg Hunt
The buttermilk fried chicken specialists in Manchester are going to be hosting an Easter egg hunt where 50 golden eggs will be placed throughout the city. The prizes are a selection of deep-fried freebies, including £350 worth of chicken and alcoholic prizes. One of the lucky winners will even receive free chicken and chips for a full year! And if all of this wasn’t enough, all children can eat free chicken and chips from Good Friday throughout Easter weekend.
