This weekend, Saturday, 13th June, is expected to see the start of several weeks of major upgrades taking place to track across Scotland.
Work will begin on the Winchburgh tunnel near Linlithgow in West Lothian, and will cause severe delays to services between Edinburgh and Glasgow. The work is part of a £750m upgrade to enable faster, bigger and greener electric trains to run on the line and will run until 27th July.
The trains will be introduced at the end of 2016.
Scotrail has introduced a webpage specifically to deal with information about the delays, so head here for more details.
In the meantime, if you need to buy train tickets for this route, or any other, please have a look at our home page for some of the best prices around.
